One of the things that I love about fashion is that it never ceases to amaze when it comes to creativity and innovation. Designers come up with such incredible finished products. When I received the invite to attend the The White Cashmere Collection 2012 fashion show at the Arcadian Court (beautiful space btw), I was very intrigued. Toilet paper couture…hello???… AMAZING in my books.

This year’s awesome cast includes: Anomal Couture by Sonia Leclair, David Jack, Izzy Camilleri, Adrian Wu, Ashtiani by Golnaz Ashtiani,Rodney Philpott Designs, LABEL by Shawna Robinson and Natalie Sydoruk, LuShyne by Lucci Rojas, Laura Siegel, Al Shakour by Suhaila Niazi, Cara Cheung, DRōN by Joël Bissonnette, MMCrystal by Michelle Merizzi, Jewelry by Karen McFarlane and shoes designed by Yvonne Lin for Town Shoes.
The even was hosted by Canada AM co-host and breast cancer survivor, Beverly Thomson. Special guest speakers included Angie Smith (Fashion Producer at The Marilyn Denis Show) and breast cancer survivor and Quebec fashion journalist, Lolitta Dandoy.
The dresses were fantastic. I never imagined that such great designs can be made from toilet paper. I loved everything but my absolute favourite was the gown created by Rodney Philpott. It reminded me of an 8o’s diva Barbie. LOVE!
Here are some of the pics that I took for the event:
