Pretty, pink and handmade…3 words that captured my attention right away.
I was invited to the Blush Pretty blogger event by friend Elaine from Toronto Beauty Reviews to meet Dot and Lil founder Anne Dardick and to learn more about her bath products. I was instantly attracted to her line of soaps and pretty gift sets.
Everything is handmade in their Montreal studio and preservative free. I got try their new facial serum, body butter, and fragrance oils. When I buy cosmetics and body products, I always find ways to see if I can find more ways to use the items. When creating the Dot and Lil line, Anne also had this in mind. Here are some dual purpose ideas for some of her items:
Perfume Oil Sprays – Not only does it leave your skin silky smooth (I love the grapefruit and rice flower btw) but it also works well as a shine spray for your hair. I tried it and it works beautifully!
Shea Rescue Butter – Great moisturizer for lips AND nails.
Body Butter - Makes a great moisturizer for feet. Simply apply before going to bed and wear with socks to lock in the moisture.
Facial Serum – Works great as a cleanser as well. Massage into face and gently wipe off with a warm face towel. You can also use the serum as makeup remover!
Milk Bath – Doubles as a facial mask. Mix with water until you get a paste and apply as a mask.
Shower Scrub Bars - A scrub bar and pumice stone in one
I currently use the face serum and rose soap. Anne mentioned that the satsuma soap is one of her best-sellers so I will make sure to try that too.
If you’re attending The One of a Kind Show this weekend, stop by the Dot and Lil booth and check out her bath products line.
